MATT3R K3Y: K3Y can automatically track FSD enagements & disgengagements to simplify data tracking. Your data will auto sync with the community tracker dashboards in the near future. It also enhances your dashcam storage allowing you to retrieve dashcam footage for events directly on your phone. See this link for more details.
EVGuyCanada: EVGuyCanada.com in-car tracker simplifies data tracking, and the data auto syncs with the community tracker dashboards. The app auto-calculates distance using gps, so you only have to tap on the screen to toggle between city vs highway, and when you need to record / categorize an event such as a disengagement. The app does not track routes, and only tracks the distance traveled and reported events (disengagements, interventions, etc). User registration for this app is separate from the manual data entry. See this video for how to use the app: https://youtu.be/ffREp9hB57g?si=e4_sXglbSzUsiD30
Data Entry (Manual): This requires manual tracking on your own, and then you submit an entry for a drive by providing all of the required details. User registration is validated by providing a screenshot showing the last 6 of their VIN and firmware version to prove they are a tester. Testers use the last 6 digits of their VIN to enter data, since this is what prevents non-testers from entering data. If a user registers for the EVGuyCanada app and submits data, the last 6 of VIN is added to the form validation, so they can submit data manually if needed.
FSD Survey: This is separate from the first three options and is a simple way for testers to provide subjective feedback on the handling of various driving scenarios and edge cases. This data is only integrated on the FSD Survey Dashboard and is separate from all of the other dashboards.
How to Interpret the Data
Please review the Definitions towards the bottom of the page for additional details. Various metrics and views are included in the dashboards to provide different viewpoints of the data. One should not simply focus on a single metric, as there are several metrics of interest. The following are a few metrics that people prefer to track:
City & Hwy Miles to a disengagement (DE)
Overall & City Miles to a Critical DE
% of drives with no DE
% of drives with no Critical DE
The Data Accuracy tab provides details about the accuracy of the data.
Definitions
Disengagement:
Turning Steering Wheel: Turning required due to crossing lane unexpectedly, accident avoidance, or other required maneuver to avoid unsafe driving.
Braking: Braking required due to late deceleration, accident avoidance, or moving forward incorrectly / unsafely.
Categories of Disengagements:
Critical: Safety Issue (Avoid accident, taking red light/stop sign, wrong side of the road, unsafe action). NOTE: These are colored in red in the Top Causations for Disengagements chart on the main dashboard.
Other Event: Non-Disengagement from EVGuyCanada app (no intervention, but action reported via on-screen icon)
Abbreviated Terms Glossary:
DE: Disengagement
MinDate: Earliest date logged for a specific version
MaxDate: Latest date logged for a specific version
Hwy: Highway
Estimated Distance w/ no Disengagements: Based on the total distance driven minus the number of disengagements to get a percent of the total distance driven without any disengagements.
Estimated Issues Fixed: Based on same disengagement type being reported in the same location (within 110 meters) & is dependent on reported data.
HW3 & HW4: Provides filtering based on hardware where cars built prior to May 2023 have hardware (HW) version 3, and cars built after that have version 4.
Top Testers: Uses a ranking of all testers based on the miles driven for each version. When you select top 5 or 10, it only shows data for testers in the selected version(s) that have driven the most miles.
Individual Tester Miles Driven: Uses a specific set of ranges that were above average for miles driven per tester on a version. This allows you to filter data for only testers who have driven more than the average.
